Hall Representatives: If you live in a UCL Hall, you may wish to represent your neighbours and peers within your Hall.
Activities Representatives: Societies Reps and Sports Reps ensure that our Clubs and Societies members have their voices heard.
Student Trustees: The Board of Trustees is the highest level of the governance structure in Students’ Union UCL. Trustees oversee the financial and legal decision-making within the organisation.
The Union is led by students like you. It means you’ve got the power to change what the Union is, what it does and what it believes. Help shape it by submitting your ideas for change.
Ideas can be submitted to one of 3 Union Zones: Activities, Education or Welfare & Community. A zone consists of a group of students who meet regularly and discusses student issues and ideas on related topics. We’ll help make your idea happen. If your idea affects multiple zones or you feel it should be discussed by all students, you may wish to consider calling for a referendum.
UCL is your community, so you're in the best place to notice things that need to change.
Put your idea forward by launching a campaign.
Become a leader
There are more than 2,000 student representatives at UCL including Academic Reps, Student Officers, Sabbatical Officers, Student Trustees, Hall Reps and Activities Reps. These students work on projects across UCL to make everyone's experience better.
If you are interested in taking on a leadership role, you can nominate yourself during our two election periods. To become a Sabbatical Officer, a Student Officer or a committee member of a club or society, check out the Leadership Race, which takes place in Term 2. If you would like to become an Academic Rep, Student Trustee, Hall Rep or an Activities Rep, then the Term 1 Autumn Elections are the one for you.
Become a Student Quality Reviewer
Student Quality Reviewers work with UCL to take an in-depth look at different areas of academic practice. They help to improve how the university works by providing detailed feedback and analysis from a student perspective.
