The UCL Fencing Club offers the opportunity to fence in the most diverse Club of the Student's Union, whether you just want to try it on a whim or have been fencing for years. We welcome absolutely anyone to join with a dedicated novice training programme running throughout the year on Wednesdays and Thursdays. For the more competitive fencer we offer the opportunity to try out for one our four highly successful BUCS teams as well as numerous domestic and international student tournaments, as the proud host of LIUF for 24 years we have a lot of experience when it comes to organising and participating in compeititions. We also had the privilege to receive the Club of the Year 2019/2020 Award.

The expensive costs of buying your own fencing kit looms over every student, however our Club provides access to borrowing our kit for competitions and even for weekly training. We are also more than willing to help direct you to the UCL grants and fund you can take advantage of to help purchase your own equipment, if you decide you want to make that commitment to the sport.

Our social calendar too gives members lots to look forward to. Aside from the weekly socials, we host joint socials with other Clubs (both within UCL and beyond), charity pub quizzes and activities such as bowling. The highlight of the year is our Christmas Dinner held in December, giving everyone the opportunity to get out of their whites and dress up! We also look forward to holding other holiday themed socials across the year!

With top-class coaching and a membership fee that’s hard to beat, we’re one of the friendliest and best value fencing clubs in central London!
